Antique Pool Table

A beautiful 1901 Brunswick Mahogany Saratoga antique pool table we restored from the ground up.  It was delivered and installed with new Championship 30:30 felt. Here is a list of the restoration process: – Stripped the entire table of the old finish, repaired all damaged areas and added a multi-coat shellac finish. – Hand rubbed the finish to a satin shine. – Refinished the rails with Brazilian Rosewood and inlaid Ivory sights. – Restored the pockets with rosewood leather and intermingled tassels. – Repaired structural components of the table. – Delivered and...

Crud Billiard Game

Here’s an interesting one for you.  The other day, we put together a pool table that was built in Africa (specifically Ethiopia), that is being used in a Crud Billiard Game.  Crud is a game played with your hands and not pool cues.  I’m not exactly sure how or why people like to play Crud, but theres a group of folks here in Las Vegas who love the game. This was a very unusual billiard table.  It wasn’t in the best of shape, and the owner said it cost $20 to build in Africa (pretty good bargain).  Instead of slate they used a marble playing top, and the table had snooker pockets.
